Handling magnets

Manipulate carefully when two magnets or a magnet and a steel object are approaching. Given the strong forceful effect the magnet might be damaged or an injury might occur! Do not leave magnets lying about.
When working with powerful and large magnets wearing gloves is recommended.

It is prohibited to handle magnets in an environment with an explosion hazard due to the possibility of a spark striking.Magnets are particularly brittle. As a result, tiny pieces may break off during handling. It is necessary to protect the eyes with goggles.

During grinding fine dust is created. Its inhalation might cause respiratory problems, or possibly start another illness. It is necessary to use protective equipment (respirator).

Do not place magnets near:

  • sensitive electronic and mechanical devices
  • persons with a heart stimulator
  • magnetic recording media (credit cards, floppy disks, tape recorder and video cassettes, etc.)
